The AMA is currently recruiting for a part-time Coordinator in the Road Report department. The primary responsibility of this position is to gather information on prevailing road conditions throughout the province of Alberta and update the Road Report website and telephone recordings (7/24/365) with the most current road conditions.
Superior verbal and written communication skills are required as well as extensive knowledge of computers and Internet communications. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with various sources including: highway maintenance contractors, RCMP detachments, news media and all AMA branch offices.
The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is a requirement of the role. A working knowledge of Alberta’s weather patterns and road network would be an asset. Applicants must be flexible to work shift work and to support another skill set within the Contact Centre.
