Qualifications:
- 1st Class Power Engineering Cert. of competency (2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate will be considered depending on experience), journeyman trade, or engineering degree/diploma in a related discipline is an asset.
- 5+ years experience managing the operation and/or maintenance of an industrial facility
- Manage safety hazards to ensure safe operations.
- Ability to apply innovative and creative approaches to solutions.
- Analytical and decision making skills req'd
- Ensuring compliance and maximizing generation load
- Understands trading, marketing, scheduling and associated cost factors.
- Strong math and computer skills and interpretation of plant diagrams, and schematics required.
- Knowledge of operations, regulatory compliance practices, procedures and priorities. In addition to understanding corporate and Generation policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of plant & field operations and maximizing generation load.
