This is a 30 watt/class AB valve amplifier, handcrafted in England. It uses EL 34 tubes on the output stage.Tube sockets are hard wired to the circuit board to guarantee reliability and isolate other components from heat stress.
The fit and finish is like a piece of jewelry with a chromed faceplate and an on/off knob. Very elegant in both sound and build. Although Romulus has a dynamic quality, it retains the smooth response inherent in all CR amplifiers, reproducing the gentlest passage or most strident orchestration with equal ease.
Over-engineered internal electronics leave the amplifier unstressed even under the most demanding conditions.
