"The Thunder 3.1B uses a 24 bit/192 kHz upsampler from the swiss company Anagram Technologies. This is the heart of the 3.1 player. It results in a player which has a sense of timing and weight without losing its airy quality.
The bottom line, however, is the sound and this truly is a sonic gem. Imaging is detailed and pinpoint with a rock solid soundstage. Frequency response is extended both at the bottom and the top and the overall sound quality is sweet, yet controlled throughout the sound spectrum.
