"The Thunder 3.1B uses a 24 bit/192 kHz upsampler from the swiss company Anagram Technologies. This is the heart of the 3.1 player. It results in a player which has a sense of timing and weight without losing its airy quality.
The benefit of upsampling is that the same information is being described by using approximately 5 times the number of points in time, so, quite simply, it is more accurate. The Thunder 3.1B is available in both single ended or variable balanced configuration.
The bottom line, however, is the sound and this truly is a sonic gem. Imaging is detailed and pinpoint with a rock solid soundstage.
